Team workspaces
A shared account for a small studio. Everyone sees the same projects, with their own login.
If you're working on Wemob projects with one or two other people — a design partner, a writer, a client you're collaborating with — a team workspace gives you a shared space where everyone can see and edit the same projects, each with their own login. Available on the Team plan.
What a team workspace is#
A team workspace is a shared account that holds projects. Every person you invite gets their own login (their own email and password) and sees the same projects. Changes anyone makes are visible to everyone else in real time.
Create a team#
Open the Account menu and click Create a team. You'll be asked for a name (usually your studio or company name) and payment details. Once created, your account automatically switches to the team workspace, and any projects you make from that point on live there.
Invite people#
In the team workspace, open Settings → Members and click Invite member. Enter their email address and pick a role (see below). They'll get an email with a link to accept the invite. If they don't have a Wemob account yet, they can create one on the way in.
Roles and permissions#
There are three roles:
- Owner — you, by default. Can do everything, including billing and deleting the team.
- Editor — can create, edit, publish, and delete projects. Can't touch billing or invite other people.
- Viewer — can look at projects and their live previews, but can't make changes. Good for sharing with clients who want to see progress without accidentally breaking things.
Switching between accounts#
If you belong to multiple workspaces — your own personal account and a team, or several teams — you can switch between them from the Account menu at the top of the sidebar. Each workspace has its own projects, credits, and billing.
Billing#
Team workspaces bill per seat. Adding a person to the team increases the monthly charge by one seat's worth. The Owner is responsible for billing and can add or remove seats from the Settings menu at any time. See Credits & billing for how that works in practice.
