Credits & billing
How the meter works, what uses it, and how to make sure you never run out unexpectedly.
Wemob uses a simple credit system to meter the work it does for you. Every plan comes with a monthly allowance, and if you want more you can buy a top-up pack. You only spend credits on things that actually cost something — reading the docs, looking at your site, editing a price, and publishing are all free.
What credits are#
A credit is a little unit of work. Most things Wemob does for you cost somewhere between half a credit and thirty credits, depending on how much the AI had to think and how much code it had to write. For most people, a hundred credits lasts a day or two of active building.
What uses credits#
Credits are spent when the AI works on your behalf. That means:
- Every chat message that changes your project
- Generating a new project from a prompt
- Cloning from a screenshot
- Asking Wemob to fix an error
- Seeding data into a new table
What's free#
Most things don't cost credits at all:
- Looking at your site in the preview
- Switching between desktop, tablet, and phone view
- Editing files yourself in the code tab
- Adding, editing, and deleting entries in the data tab
- Publishing your site
- Connecting a custom domain
- Exporting to GitHub
- Rolling back to a previous version
- Inviting team members
Check your balance#
Your current credit balance is always visible in two places:
- At the bottom of the sidebar, on the little account chip (the small number next to the diamond symbol)
- In the Account menu (click your avatar), under the “Plan & credits” section
Buy more#
If you need more credits than your plan includes, you can buy a top-up pack at any time. Open the Account menu and click Buy more credits. Packs range from small (good for finishing one project) to large (good for a month of heavy work). Top-up credits never expire.
Running out#
When you're getting low, Wemob will show a small warning in the sidebar and email you before the balance actually hits zero. If you do run out mid-project:
- You can still look at your site, edit files manually, and publish
- You can still edit data, add products, and manage orders
- You just can't ask the AI to make new changes until you top up or your plan refreshes
Nothing you've already made disappears. You're just paused on the AI side of things until there's credit to spend.
